Well the story began with a musical man known as Mr. Palomar He would shuffle along with a big bass drum on his back as he played the guitar He had plied his trade along the esplanade longer than he cared to recall From the look on his face of profound distaste it was clear he'd had enough of it all Well there was more to this caper than they put in the paper for this man of a musical bent had been plotting and scheming for a less demeaning means of paying his rent With a gun in his hand this crazed one man band's crazy plan began to take shape As he ran round the town robbing each bank he found before deftly making his escape Oh, what has he done? Now he's a one man band on the run He's robbing banks like it's going out of style With a shotgun and a big bass drum he's running wild He's lost control, he's a man possessed, And still he'll play a jolly tune for you as he resists arrest They say he's mad, I say he's just having fun He's a one man band on the run He's a gentleman thief with a winning smile He'll keep a steady beat as he runs the minute mile Well who knows what cracked in the mind of this chap With a drum on his back and a gun in his hand From the word of those present he was really quite pleasant as he made his demands Well he gathered the money in somewhat of a hurry, left the crowd wanting more, And got a standing ovation as he passed the police station for one last encore Oh, what has he done? Now he's a one man band on the run He's robbing banks like it's going out of style With a shotgun and a big bass drum he's running wild He's lost control, he's a man possessed, And still he'll play a jolly tune for you as he resists arrest They say he's mad, I say he's just having fun He's a one man band on the run

Deirdre, it's happening again, I know we're only colleagues but I think we could be friends or maybe more, It's an age old story, but who knew love could bloom in a laboratory? Deirdre, this data can't be right, my pupils have dilated, I've not seen you in this light. Oh Deirdre, say you feel it too, that heady fight or flight response when I look at you. A signal from my hypothalamus has left me feeling somewhat amorous, that sweet tingling of oxytocin means this must be love. Deirdre, the thought of your embrace causes the vasodilation of my face. Is it real or am I mistaking my limbic system initiating... Cortisol, adrenaline, make my heart beat and my ears ring. Could you be the most receptive female in this room? Oh honey. Deirdre, we've both been here before, I'm noticing a pattern that we'd be fools to ignore, so I've written it in triplicate and sent you my report to prove that I'm empirically in love. Your feelings are unrepressible, your conduct so unprofessional. Excuse me if I'm unaffected by the attention that you have directed my way. I fear your love for me is blinding you dear, there go all our findings. Oh David, you surely knew the risks as the country's leading pheromone research scientist.

Héloïse 03:19
Héloïse won't you stay with me, I've got so much love in my heart, Heloïse won't you listen please, I couldn't bear for us to part. But like two rivers flow you and I both know we must go our different ways, As each stream greets the ocean we'll be one again some day. Héloïse, goodbye my Héloïse Héloïse, goodbye my Héloïse Let the seas run dry, let the sun in the sky crash and burn in a dying blaze, Kingdom'll come still I won't be done loving you till the end of days. When time has had its way with me from this earth I'll be released, 'least I can say before I slip away "I loved you Heloïse." Héloïse, goodbye my Héloïse Héloïse, goodbye my Héloïse

My dear mother's sister, Miss Millicent Brown owns a small boarding house by the sea. It's replete with the features one's come to expect with a seaward facade that commands one's respect. It has plenty of charm but it's lacking in guests since a demon moved in upstairs. It was late Sunday evening the demon arrived in a flash of hellfire and brimstone. Well my aunt's never been one for making a scene so politely she showed him to his room. He offered her riches in return for her soul; She offered him tea with a cucumber roll. Despite our concern she's doing quite well since the demon moved in upstairs. The next morning at breakfast the demon declared that he cared not one fig if they thought him an ungodly heathen as he turned half the guests in to miniature pigs. He greets all he meets with a baleful glance and an unholy stench which withers the plants. He speaks in a way that one shouldn't to aunts, he's the demon who lives upstairs. He gathers cadavers of foxes and badgers and leaves them as gifts for my aunt. He's full of diseases, he does as he pleases, and when asked to stop says he shan't. Things came to a head after dinner when some guests played the demon at Whist. Dear Mrs Green was the winner, oh God rest her soul, she'll be terribly missed. Though he drives her insane my aunt's let him remain now she's grown used to his little scares. He may be a demon, but now he's her demon, her demon who lives upstairs. Yes her demon who lives upstairs.

The night we met the stars above shone bright for you and I The night you left me for another tears fell from my eyes You're happy now with your new love, I'm just a memory Still I hope and pray the Gods above will bring you back to me I think of you most every night for I still love you so I've sought but still I couldn't find a way to let you know So I asked the angels up above and they all seemed to agree that I should make a life-size papier-mâché effigy Of you (of you) I made a papier-mâché effigy (of you) a life-size paper-mache effigy (of you) My papier-mâché effigy of you I saved up every single tear that I cried for you and mixed it with wallpaper paste to make a kind of glue I tore up every last love letter that you sent to me and with the bits I made a paper-mache effigy Of you (of you) I made a papier-mâché effigy (of you) a life-size paper-mache effigy (of you) My papier-mâché effigy of you (SPOKEN) My darling, there was once a time your love was all I needed It felt back then like no two lovers could have loved like we did But of late I've grown accustomed to this strangely painted face Could it be I have found someone to take the place... Of you (of you) My papier-mâché effigy might do My life-size paper-mache effigy (of you) My papier-mâché effigy of you Sometimes my dear at night I hear a voice so clear and true from my paper-mache effigy of you

Lyrics "It's much worse than at first I had feared" said his love quietly in his ear A strange thing's come to pass I am turning to glass and I fear I may soon disappear So make no sudden movements I plead Understanding and care's what I need Please don't push me too hard I could shatter in shards and then what would become of me my love What would become of me? Please promise me sweetly as I disappear if I fade completely remember me dear for you know, though I'll miss you, I'll always be near This strange change has come at great cost for I fear soon that all might be lost This crystalline form is no longer warm my once soft skin is now fragile glass my soft skin is now fragile glass Please promise me sweetly as I disappear if I fade completely remember me dear for you know, though I'll miss you, I'll always be near -Instrumental- Please promise me sweetly as I disappear if I fade completely remember me dear for you know, though I'll miss you, I'll always be near And hold me so sweetly as I disappear I care not if you break me as long as you're near I could shatter in your arms Just stay close my dear

Well I've seen you on the street corner, such a strong silent type. You've got a bedspread wrapped round your head and your face is all painted white. You got a crowd of people at your feet all standing there looking at you. You might have caught their eye but you made a child cry now he is terrified of you Hoo hoo hoo it's a living statues (it's a living statue) Hoo hoo hoo it's a living statues You used to work in accounting or so a little bird tells me You got sick of that grind from 9 to 5 and now you're working 10 till 3 You get your thrills from standing very still in one spot all day If you can pay your bills with these stationary skills then you've got a good thing You've got a phD in aping masonry As they walk on by they say... Hoo hoo hoo it's a living statues (it's a living statue) Hoo hoo hoo it's a living statues (it's a living statue) There's a living statue and he's looking at you There's a living statue and he's looking at you (Watch me!) There's a living statue and he's looking at you There's a living statue and he's looking at you

about

We here at The Sette of Odde Volumes HQ are visibly excited to share our first collection of original songs with you, the discerning listener. So sit back, relax, heck, maybe even make yourself a cup of tea if that's what you're in to, but then sit down again (honestly, I turn my back for one minute and you're up out of that chair again) and prepare for an auditory experience quite unlike a Glen Campbell album.
