During a weekly visit to my local record shop I happened upon this rare gem; a first edition pressing of Johnny Winsome & the Silhouettes' break-through hit 'My Guardian Angel'. He's so dreamy.

My Guardian Angel keeps hiding my shoes
He mixes up my washing-up with cups that I've already used
He does high-impact yoga when I try and watch the news
Oh my passive-aggressive Guardian Angel

He uses the facilities but pays nothing toward the bills
He plays tuba every morning just outside my window sill
He even told my one true love I'm not that in to girls

I asked my Guardian Angel to send some love my way
He shrugged and lit a cigarette then blew smoke rings in my face
If any one should hear my plea I'd really like to know
why my Guardian Angel hates me so

In the still of the evening when I am home alone
he waits till I'm dreaming and then rifles through my phone
and sends suggestive messages to everyone I know
Oh my passive-aggressive Guardian Angel

I rang the Angel Agency to file my complaint
I said in no uncertain terms this angel was no saint
They told me that they'd love to help, but alas I'd have to wait
for I'd signed a 2 year contract and I'm only on month 8

Ever since I made the phone call he's been much worse with me
He leaves objects on the stairs and makes me oddly smelling tea
Am I just a fool in love? Is it all just in my head?
Or does my Guardian Angel want me dead?
